Favourite Anamial Show or Film?

Category: Animal House

I love animals, so naturally, I love Animal Planet. Some of my favourite shows are The Most Extreme, Meerkat Manor and Arangatan Island. I also love that one with the crew of scientists who go to all different places and who use their experteeses to explore them, as well as the show about all the bugs. I also love the original Charlotte's Web and Babe, as well as the Babar cartoon. So what is your favourite show featuring animals? It could be a cartoon, a documentary, a film, whatever.

I also like educational shows about animals. I saw this one about roaches, and although I still don't like them, it's almost like I now think of when I kill one rather than not thinking anything of them, since I know what the individual creatures can do and how they live. It was actually interesting, even though I still don't get what they're purpose of being here is. So that's my most memorable show that I liked, it was part of a series on a Discovery channel channel, and the show was called "Super Cockroach". I also like shows where animals voluntarily help people or other animals. (What I mean is they weren't specifically trained to do that certain thing.) I think that's pretty cool.

Oh yeah! You reminded me of another show. I think it's called Amazing Animals. I love it! Very similar to what you're saying, but sometimes, they are trained. However, they're usually not taught to do the things they do, or not to the degree in which they do it. All cases on that show are real. The things some of these animals do are just incredible.

Ok, the show that I like, and I'm not sure if it's on anymore, is animal precinct.
As for movies, I like babe and homeward bound.

Ooh, Homeward Bound! Forgot that one, thanks. As for animal precinct, it comes on Animal Planet, though I'm not sure of the time. Their schedule has changed somewhat.

hahahahaha stewart little, I forgot about that one! My mom and I took my nephew to see that in the movie theatre, and when the social worker was telling about how stewart's family died, I couldn't stop laughing! "a 2 for 1 sale" hahahahahaha. Needless to say, I got a lot of dirty looks and comments. lol

Wow, so many great shows out there, it's hard to pick. I loved the Crock Hunter, and still do. Little Bindie is so amazing, Steve would be so proud. I love all the Free Willy movies, White Fang, Polly, to name a few. I also love Its Me or the Dog. It's that one where that dog trainer comes to help people with their troublesome pets. People can be so narrow minded about their dogs, treating them like humans. I'm surprised she's been able to help some of them.

There is a show that used to be on National Geographic channel called Dogs with Jobs. Loved that one, and I also like the show The Dog Whisperer. Animal Presinct is okay. crocodile hunter was awesome.

And don't forget Animal Park and Roar, where Kate Humble and Ben Fogle give us brits hours and hours of wonderfully animal entertainment from Longleat House and estate in Wiltshire on BBC1 and Roar with Rani Price or Alex Dolan and O, the other guy's name escapes me now, filmed at Howletts and Port Lympne wildlife parks in Kent just gives you a really wonderful image of how wild animals live, a lot of them are endangered speecies, the Indian and Somatran tigers to name one of them, (sorry if I spelled that slightly wrong BTW) and probably my favourite, Barbary lions, totally extinct in the wild and their manes extend not just down their backs, but down their fronts as well and they're white, not the usual yellowish colour of just ordenary lions anyone can go and visit at the zoo or in the heart of deepest Africa. It's just so real, not all this phony disney nonsense like The Lion King and Bambi, though those were just smashing films in their day. No. For me, it has to be things like Roar and Animal Park.

for me it has to be 101 dalmations, brother bear, the wild, and the lion kings one and two. as for reality stuff, animal park can't be beaten, nor can something on animal planet which they sadly stopped called that's my baby, which was a short half hour documentary where you followed various animals through the latter stages of pregnancy, saw the animal giving birth, and then saw the ofspring about six months later. they once had a polar bear on there who had a cub, pity the thing wasn't audio described, that would have been brilliant. i do like the RSPCA have you got what it takes? documentaries too. Also, documentaries about any kind of bear. There was one called ultimate bear which stripped a bear down to its physical characteristics, finding out what made a bear a bear. for example, did you know a grizzly has the strength of five men in his forepaws? he can flip rocks and heavy objects like we'd flick a pencil. heheeh. oh, another reality series they don't show any more, lion man, fantastic show that.

Oh i love lovelove animal shows. That's my baby was a wonderful show. I wish it was back. Growing up whatever is also a great show but I liked that's my baby better. I also love the most extreme. It conflicts with deadliest catch right now so I don't watch it but I love it anyway. Also the show with the cute british lady who makes dogs mind. She's so funny and cute. WI wish I could say I liked the dog whisperer, but I don't care for him. There is no reason that I can put my finger on but I just don't like him. Also, back a few years ago, animal planet had a great show called breed all about it which did profiles of all the different doggie breeds

Post 23 by Fire Bear (Generic Zoner) on Tuesday, 21-Jul-2009 2:36:15

I love all the animal movies. Three of my favorites are Gordy, Babe, and Charlotte's Web. I like all the movies in wich animals can talk, but I like any movie or show with animals in them.
